Well, not in hand but it is all bought and paid for and in transit...

Here's the specs

2 Magnaflow 11225 mufflers

2 Vibrant 1207 4" round angle cut double wall tips

All shipped to my door for 187.xx not a bad deal I think! This has been a long time coming so I am really excited about getting the stuff. It should be here by the end of the week.

Have you decided on whether you will be replacing any of the stock piping yet??

No, from what I have read on here over the years the gains versus cost for gen II piping are not worth it. I think someone who did 2.5 from the cats back had like a 4 HP gain. Most the people who have gen II's don't do the full piping.

Full 2.5 piping from the cats back with cost a pretty penny.

I am happy with the mufflers and I may do the resonator delte/x pipe later if I want a little more growl.

I mean just the resonator delete and xpipe.

Its cheaper if you do it all at once.

I started originally with just mufflers and ended up doing it all and in the end i spent a couple hundred more than if i would have done it at the same time.

He countered my $55.00 and we settled on $64.00 per muffler shipped.

I got the tips off of Amazon, 29.00 a piece shipped.

I will have to see how the exhaust sounds once it is done. I really don't want something really loud. It is hard to tell from youtube videos how loud something will be in real life. I like the way the guys LSs who have the x pipe on it sound.

I'll ask the shop for a quote if I want to I add the x pipe later.

Money is a factor too, we are getting ready to have our first baby and the future isn't as secure as it used to be. I don't want to spend 400-500 parts and labor on my exhaust if I am happy with it for 280.

2.5" is a waste on that small motor. I had it on my '03.

Enjoy now being able to hear the car running. That's mainly why I changed the exhaust (3 different times) on my LS. lol

I believe many small 4cyl import vehicles have 2.5" exhaust.

Dont see why it would be a waste on an ls its a small engine but its not that small.

Countless posts, and years of debating later.. finally you pulled the trigger! :p

You saved big bucks on those tips. My tips cost as much as your whole setup there, lol.

I say that's too much. Are they charging 25 per weld? I got charged 180 to get 2.5" pipes with mandrel bends, x pipe, mufflers, and tips. An x pipe alone has 4 welds, plus the cats. When I installed a muffler on my dads expedition, I was charged 25, installed muffler and tip

I figured about 80-100 was about right. They didn't say how much per weld. I still have to stop by Midas and see what they say. Maybe a little competition will work in my favor.

I read on LVC somewhere that they had Midas do theirs, I forget who now... They were talking about all the muffler shops on "shady lane" but finally just broke down and took it to Midas. Who was that?!

Well, if your up to it, these clamps aren't too bad for the DIYer guy..

I find that the local places will work with you and give you better pricing.
