Well the chip isint working and everyone keeps saying it's a connection issue. So I took some pictures to send to blue oval chips (thats who made it). He said he didnt think it was goin all the way on and wanted to see the contacts. So I took some pictures Idk if he can tell anything but if he cant tell anything im prolly going to send the chip to him and have the it tested.

The thing I was wondering was if I possibly took the contacts down to far cleaning them? I have marks in all but two of the contacts from where the chip slides on. He said this wasn't possible so I thought I would ask you guys, because I think I read on here that you can.

Anywho here are the pics but idk you anyone can make anything out.

WOW! Well it sure looks ok. I dont see anything wrong with it. The only thing I would say is: I see that the chip has catch code RKK3 on it, and I asumme that is matches the code on the module.

after seeing those pics,i would sy you might have a bad chip, everything looks good and clean.

years ago i had a bad superchip for my 88 turbocoupe, ran like junk, they swapped it for me and it ran good

Get Sniper Special Forces and forget all about piggyback chips.

That is kinda what I'm leaning towards doing. But I want to make sure that the chip is good so I can sell it and try to get my money back on it.

or buy the used sct xcal 2 i am selling in the for sale area and take your car and get a tune :D

I had a problem with a chip as well, It wasn't a SCT from blue oval though. It was from another vendor on here. The first chip I recieved made the car run like CRAP! The second chip I recieved did the same exact thing! They claimed that they tested it & it was fine but it was JUNK plain & simple. What really upset me was that the chip did not even come from the vendor that I ordered it from, instead it came from a third party. No names will go mentioned because the vendor made everything right in the end by way of refund.

I would NEVER buy a mail order chip again! Find a good local SCT dealer & tuner instead.

I've been very happy with the chip from Torrie (FastPartsNetwork). He rocks!

Anyway, I would verify that the codes match, as mentioned before.

The codes match. The car runs with the chip in it's just a matter of how long it runs. Once it was 4 days before it started messing up another time it was a few hours. Thats what im confused by.

I have a chip programmed by Fast Parts Network. It works great, and the turn-around time was as good as one could hope for.

Lonnies a good guy, I'm sure he will make things right. I would have to say go witht he xcal2, chips are for obd1.

He seems very nice. He has helped me try and figure somethings out. But the problem is that I foolishly bought the chip used and so if the chip is the problem I am out the money :(

The guy I bought it from just told me thats who made the chip so I just gave him a call to try and figure things out.
