My 255/45-17's don't tuck into the rear fender. To make matters worse I went and sensor lowered the car. Now on the highway at lowered height, if I hit a bump they're rubbing real bad. I'm considering bringing it to a wheel shop or a body shop and inquiring about fender rolling. Is there anything I need to know? Is it easy for the guy to do? Can he wreck my car by doing this?

These are 255/45-17 Fierce HP 380A on a 17x9" wheel.

I have the same problem on the 97. 255's rub when lowered on highway, so I ran a toggle switch to the dash and turn off the airride anytime I go over 40. I want to eventually roll my fenders though since I am switching to coils.

I just pulled mine out. My friend brought over a tool that hooked onto the well and hammered it out little by little. Wonder if that would work. Took 2 minutes. I had no rubbing anywhere else in the well.

You don't need anything fancy, just a heat gun and a wooden baseball bat. Jack up the car so the suspension drops, heat the area with the heat gun so the paint doesn't flake, and then use the tire as a pivot point to push on the lip. It makes it a lot easier if you have 2 people, this way one preheats the areas and the other goes right behind them with the bat and rolls the lips.

I rolled mine only a little bit and fit 285s on the back. the top of the bumper rubs the most. Just cut that with a dremel tool.

Uhh... dremel tool? Heat guns and bats? Wiring toggle switches in the electric system? You guys are f'in nuts

I can't believe I come here for advice ;)

if you dont like the advice from people who have been there done that then dont ask for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can only use factory approved 225/60-h16 tires. Better?

LOL yes. You have any pics of your mobile PC setup? I was gonna try that once, bought all the miniITX parts and a 7" touch screen, but I gave up.

Just do it right and CUT IT!! I have 285/35 18's and I can be fully dropped and drive fine.
