was there a factory nav in the Gen II's?

Is it possible to connect that in the Gen I's?

Yes, Gen II had factory nav. My gallery has a pic.

Go aftermarket, cheaper and will be less of a headache.

This has been covered many times but yes Gen 2 has factory navi. It's not worth the headache to try and put this in a Gen 1 LS. Too many parts you'll have to buy and it's expensive. Factory navi doesn't give you near as many options as aftermarket. For what you'll spend trying to do that, you can put together a nice setup going aftermarket.

Yeah a few days ago there was a thread about this. Go aftermarket. I have to stock nav. I like it a lot, but doesn't compare to one of those fancy aftermarket, plus its too much work and money like LeaSr77 said. They look nice check em out. I've seen a lot on her, they nice and they'll make em look stock...ish, but yeah aftermarket.

Sorry for doing this, but I have a question on the top panel, in the middle of the console. It is the one that has the 2 vents, and the "fuel/reset/setup/status" buttons in it.

How does it come off? Are these stuck on with clips? Will those "Christmas tree" clip tools remove these? A plastic wedge, with some prying force???

My buttons pushed into the panel, and I cant get them back flush, without taking this piece out completely.

Garbone, replied to this in the Avic F90BT Install thread. Give a shout if you're still having issues with it.

Just pops off, pry it out. Held in by clips but you do have to be careful, the clips suck and will break.
