Exterior light warning.

i have to wait till the compressors shut off, the twins pull alot (over 70 amps) but i havent had any problems with then flickering but they will dim with the stereo up and the car at idle

wow 70 amps is quite a bit. have you thought about putting in a high output alternator and upgrading your the power and grounds to the battery and alternator?

is it worth all that? they aren't running very long.

I get the warning message all the time... Nothing that a quick reach over to hit the rest button can fix. I would feel that my Mark does not love me if it never gave me a message of some sort.

well he also mentioned it happens with his stereo on so im assuming the stereos not factory. if his compressors alone are pulling 70 amps i think it could be worth at least upgrading the wire. never hurts to protect your electrical system, voltage drops do strange things to electronics

Put an inline capacitor on your low voltage side of the headlights and you won't have the light messages no mo'.

Now, I know what your next question is:

"What kind of capacitor?"
Uhhh. the capacitive kind. Polarized.

"I mean, how big?"
Uh... no bigger than your required farrad rating.

"How big is that?"
It's not big. And it depends on the type of Polarized capacitor: Electrolytic or Tantalum Bead. But I'm going to suggest a simple Electrolytic kind, as the Tantalum kind are somewhat spendy.

And a bigger, or secondary battery/capacitor could help aide , or turn the headlights off to prevent the extra draw until bags are inflated
only time i have a problem is if i turn them on right when i start the car and i have it all the way down and the comps are running, and even then only thing that happens is one bulb might not light. when im stopped they only dim a little with the stereo going

it only spikes over 70 for a sec when they first fire and im running heavy gauge amp wire to the compressors and to ground. i know i need to do the big 3 just havent gotten around to it yet (ive ONLY had the car for 5 and a half years lol)
