OK, I read the multitude of threads and figured I try the old hack off the mufflers to improve the sound quality. Man was I wrong, horrible drone as it is now, almost embarrasing. So here is my question. To get it back to about 1/2 as loud as without mufflers, I have a dual 2 1/2 in, single 3" out resonator from a previous T-bird SC project. Can I use the 2 to 1 resonator in place of the third cat, put a Dynomax bullet muffler after that and then just have the original pipes extended to the back with new tips? Anyone have that setup with a magnaflow resonator in place of the 3rd cat? THANKS!
