I was looking at my mark the other day and i noticed a little rust on the seam on rear quater panel just below the door. Is this somthing easily fixable or am I looking at major cosmetic surgery?

hmm - post a pick. If it is surface rust no big deal. If it is rust through then it should be cut out and replaced with clean metal. If you go cheap it will come back.

Rust sucks.
If you have it there your screwed get under the car and look it over.
Look were the body seams go together my guess is rust.
If you have rust there your screwed it wont stop or sleep.
IMHO if I find one that is rusty its a parts car.
But with all that said I am not sure .....do they salt or put any chemicals on the road during the winter were you are at ?

Its not letting me post any pics, but the rust is very light in color you almost have to get down there and look at first I even thougt it was dirt

they usually rust from the inside out there but some times you get lucky and it will be surface only

Is there a way to see if it is rusting on the inside.

take apart the inside of the car (under rear speaker) and look then use a mirror and light to look in the hole in the sub frame
these are the only noninvasive ways I can think of right now
