evil clicking noise make it stop

had my car at the girl friends house on a rather steep angle. when i started it up the engine started clicking, not a valve click, almost sounds like an disel engine, real loud clicking, oil level is fine

You're the one with the overheating problem correct? Drain the oil and replace it. Same exact thing happened to me. My oil was actually a little thicker than water after overheating. After replacing the oil you should be fine, just don't drive it until you do.

there is the problem i live in a diffrent city than my girl friend so i don't have much of a choice but to drive it home, and it happened at her house

Well change it now, when it happened to me I shut her down and got towed home. Watch out for the "low oil pressure" message. When it happened to me unity said he's heard of quite a few 4.6's going down because of that
