Engine Rpms?

that's kind of high... you're either not hitting 5th gear or you're torque converter isn't making lock-up.

i'm pretty sure i do about 3500-4000 doing 100 mph, its definately less than 4 grand

sounds dumb, but make sure you are in 5th an not like d4 on accident or forgot to sst up from 4th to 5th.

Do you have the V6 or V8?
In my mustang all the gears are the same except for 5th, it's not quite as low for the smaller engine compared to the V8.
