I need some suggestions please. I have had an engine light on for a little while now (no adverse reactions from the car so I figured no big deal) and I finally went to AutoZone and had them pull the code for me. Here is what I got-

"P1413

Definition-
Secondary Air injection system monitor circuit low

Explanation-
ECM commanded Air pump on-No flow or low flow detected when monitored

Probable cause-
1.- Open or shorted circuit at Air pump
2.- Hose off or blocked
3.- Bypass solenoid stuck open"

Anyone care to give me some suggestions as to what I should do. I'm not very familiar with cars since I have no garage or tools to really do much :(. But I can get a hold of basic tools and I'm a fast learner :D. What is most likely the issue and how can I check or take care of it? Thanks.

Ok I have a V6 and I had to replace a plastic air inj soloniod that is right in front of engine, right above harmonic balancer. Its made of plastic and cracks over time. Could or could not be your case. Just my 2 cents. Think it was like 20 dollars from Ford.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will certainly take a look when I can.
