i just picked up a 96 mark viii with 60 grand on it mint inside and out for $250.. problem is, it threw a rod... i happen to have a front clip from a 93-94 (cant remember) complete with a good engine lying around. i am hoping i can use the older engine in the obd2 96 mark without problems... can someone tell me what i will need to do, and problems i'm going to run into with sensors/wiring, other stuff ect? thanks guys...

Very doable. You will strip the older engine of all sensors and wiring and place the 96 harness on it. Thats all. Its really no problem at all, just use all the 96 stuff you can basically.

Oh, and you will want to use the 96 exhaust manifolds since they have the AIR injection ports on them. That is if you want to keep that emission system.

The 96-98 motors have the Beehive valve springs same as Cobra. 93-95 have the old design, something to think about if you like to rev these motors high like I do.

Thats true. With the engines out it would be the best time to change them.

You said you have a front clip and a motor?

I could use a grill and a motor i have a low end knock at 2000 rpm
