Need help. Can anyone help me find the engine fill cap so I can bleed the cooling system. Car is a 2000 V6 thanks guys.

its up on the drivers side of the cowl. fill it up then open these two caps, keep filling until coolant comes out of the first one(engine air bleed) then close it. leave second one(heater air bleed) open, run the car with heater on full blast holding rpms at 2k for a few minutes. youll start getting hot air and a steady stream of coolant from the heater air bleed then close it. set the heater to 75 and idle for 2minutes. then shut off and let car cool, once cool top off the coolant and your good. i just ran the car with the cap off heater on and kept filling the bottle and it was good.

you can see the actual resevoir in the upper right hand of the second pic, thats where you fill it. thats the "radiator" cap on these cars

what happened to the pictures? i cant find the "engine air bleed" on my car. anyone have any clue where it is.

i have a 2000 lincoln ls v6 and it has that same problem

Go to the TECH ARTICLES at the top of the page and look for draining the Lincoln LS cooling system, and the diagram for the V6.

I just dont see where the "engine air bleed" on my car. or i dont understand that man made picture that isnt very clear on where the "engine air bleed" is. does anybody have an actual picture?
