Changed degas bottle and upper rad. hose with in the last few years and when the cross over tube developed a leak I decided to change everything, including the down tube, water pump,& lower hose. The Harmonic Balancer has been wobbling & whining for a year since some trans work. So I got a used one and installed at the same time. I used the starter to break H/B center bolt.. (Breaker Bar against the Frame and crank the starter) it broke lose with a fast hit of the starter but with a loud crack, and the bolt came out the rest of the way by hand. Removed H/B with a puller, that all looks good with no more wobble.
Yes I had Intake off.. I scoped cylinders on passenger side so far nothing..I'm onto the other side now.. I'll let you know.
It kinda sound like the U tube Videos of Linc. Ls cracked flex plate.
It sounds like its coming from the back of the motor, but I can't pin point it, sounds the same on top as it does under the car.
Any other ideas or same experiences ?
Thanks Dan

You are not supposed to reuse the bolt that mounts the damper pulley. It stretches when first installed. After being removed and reinstalled, it may crack, or it may come loose. Of course, this is not your current problem.

You may have damaged the flex plate with your removal technique. The right way to do it is to remove the crank sensor and put a special locking tool in its place to hold the crank.
Another possibility is that you may have damaged the timing chains/guides/tensioners when you tightened the bolt back on, if the crank got rotated in the wrong direction a little. (Again, the locking tool is used to prevent that possibility.)

So your saying if I rotated crank counter clock wise it can harm T/C tensioners, tightening the bolt is the way the motor rotates.
