is there some trick to getting the rear piston in? I can't for the life of me get it back in to put the caliper back on on either rear wheel! the brake booster cap is off I even bled the line slightly while compressing it... clamping hasn't work so i've been wailing away with a hammer for 20 minutes!! is there some secret to getting them in?

i doubt its seized either because it expanded when I took them off (why I ca't get them back on) there are fresh marks on the rotors from braking (not rusted) and I haven't had any real braking issues, it was just time for new pads!

i just did some more searching and there's a caliper reset tool? is this what I need? have I obliterated my rear calipers by hammering and clamping them? please say no! I'm poor!

You have to turn AND compress the rear caliper pistons. Rent the tool at AutoZone to do it. The cube looking tool blows, so don't buy it.

n/m found other threads... seeing if they work. let me know if you thinkm i killed my caliper. i'll be a sad panda.

use a caliper tool, i will come with some small round bits to connect to the piston and screw it in. without this tool you are going to tear up that caliper.

+1 The cube was by far my greatest waste of money in life!! After messing with it for a hour I throw it in the woods
