As some of you know I have a CHERRY 1995 Mark 44000 on it. BUT This is about a Chevy Van I also own. A 1995 G30 v6 4.3 engine. After it warms up it looses Power bad. We figured it was the CAT.CONVERTOR as it has 137000 miles on it. We put a new one on BIG MISTAKE problem still there. When we advance the DIST. it has all kinds of power BUT VALVES PING. Any advice will help. Friend says it's the timing chain. But if THATS IT wouldn't it run with low power from the GIT GO?? HELP!! I forgot to mention ANOTHER FRIEND says that could be an EGR PROBLEM HELP!!

doubt its egr,

timing chain streched /jumped teeth.

when cold ,engine uses baseline timing(i assume its fuel injected?) after warm up engine goes closed loop and throws in timing tables, losing power then,

it could be something else, but thats my first thought.
