I own a 1988 mark 7, ive changed and fixed a tun of stuff, the whole cooling system, steering wheel, rack & pinion, rear control arm, etc... but now new problems have come up:

1) well one drunk night i decided to not drive and left my car in front of a bank. note:BANK (that apparently doesn't have any security cameras out front) . i come to get it the next morning the back right window was bashed out with a brick and my skateboard was stolen.

anyway, i'm not sure how to install a new one, to me it seems like i have to take off the whole panel which i cant really figure out, and someone else told me i just have to remove the window trim which i also don't really want to try until i get a for sure answer.

2) i keep getting a 31 code on the EEC tester, which is below minimum voltage to my EGR valve, i was wondering if anyone had the same problem, and if there is a quick fix, or do i have to get a new EGR valve.

3) for about a year now, the lights above the buttons for the fan, ac, etc.. flash, whenever they're on. anyone know what this is?

4) when i'm driving i hear nothing. but when for example, i'm at the drive thru, and i put my car in park, i hear a loud buzz/whine type noise, i usually just put it back into drive and hold the break when this happens. its coming from underneath.

5) Does anyone have or maybe has had a problem with the gas tank lying about how much gas it has. Someone told me its the floater, when its half full it tells me but below half randomly says 0, 23, 160, ive run out of gas probably 4 times int eh past 2 months because of this.

thanks

Remove the interior trim.
Remove the four retaining bolts for the window.
Remove and replace the window.
It would actually be safer and easier to have a firm like SafeLite do it for you.

I would first replace the voltage regulator and alternator BEFORE chasing ANY electrical gremlins. The last one I replace made three gremilins jump out the window :)

Yup. Straighten out your electrical and vacuum systems first and then, if they don't go away, pull codes from the head unit. http://www.thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/tech/eatcSelfTest1984-1987.pdf

If it were coming from the engine bay, it would probably be your suspension compressor that you hear. When you put the car in park and take your foot off the brake, the car adjusts to regular trim height. Pressing the brake interrupts the compressor. If you hit the brake and hear the hum for a short period, then it's your brake motor. Lastly, get out of the car, walk around the vehicle, and pinpoint the source.

You're welcome.
