So I had a computer reading on my car today and it said.....

OEM Number to Cross:P0402
The ECM has detected too much flow on the EGR system

Probable cause

EGR valve stuck open
Failed EGR pressure sensor
Failed EGR valve
Failed EGR pressure sensor where applicable
Failed EGR position sensor where applicable

So what is the thing most propable for our cars for this to happen? The car runs rough around 1,100 rpm. but is fine after that.
Sometimes I have a hesitated take off.

back of driverside head, 3 wire oval connector and 2 rubber hoses that attach to the erg tube, uploading pics.....

ninja edit
im touching the connector and the 2 hoses come off the bottom, and you have to keep track what hose is "hi" and what is "ref"

If your car idles, the EGR is not stuck open.

A good way to test if the EGR is working, is to idle the engine and connect a hand vacuum pump to the vacuum fitting on the EGR. When you open the EGR with the vacuum, the engine should stumble and run bad.

Thanks for the info.i'm on a quick break, ill go check that thing right now.

aint nothing to check, its bolted to the back of the head, the hoses might be rotted away too, ford has a tsb advising if you get any egr flow codes to replace that first

ah yes, found it is bolted on the back. I do have two rotted away hoses that are connected to those two chrome rods. They arent too bad,but they arent too good either. Are those the ones your talking about?

dangit. alright. I guess pulling it off is the way to go then. to see if they are bad. Heck,I just might go ahead and replace it anyways. Future problems solved now.

yeah get the sensor and the hosing at the dealer, theres 2 sizes you will need them both they should be on a bulk roll
