EGR flow insufficient

My mom's 2002 Explorer has had a check engine light so I took it and had the codes pulled and it said the EGR flow is insufficient. Now I know that this is a mark 8 page but you guys are so knowledgeable, I figured I'd ask anyways. Anything I can tell her to point her in the right direction as to what to expect if she takes it in? Thanks in advance guys.

Not sure about the explorer but I got the same code on my Town Car, Followed the directions from http://www.lincolnsonline.com/article15.html engine light went off right after fuel economy has went up and runs smoother Hopefully this will help or atleast point ya in the right direction.

most likely needs a DPFE sensor
