ebay clear side markers

These and the smoke ones have been posted before. From what I remember they weren't very good and of cheap quality. The smoke looked clear as well.
 
I just received mine late last week. The quality looks good but I may put some extra clear sealant around the back just in case. For a little over $60 all said and done for a pair of clear side markers that’s not bad at all.
What type problems are you hearing about these?
 
The only problems I recall were with the seller themselves.

I have yet to see the smoke and have yet to see them on a sport.
 
I didn’t have any problems with the seller. I received them pretty quick and they look the right pair as advertised for the sport model.

I think since so many people had to send e-mails about mess ups they probably got things together. Look for the thread on it and you will see just about everyone that was involved in the thread that had ordered them had complications and a few snide replies to the e-mails they sent.
 
Something told me to take picture of them when I opened the box. I'm at work right now so it will be later. I remember reading that thread and see the side marker they received and mine don't look like that. They have a light grey backing and they look just like my factory amber side markers only clear. I haven't put them on yet, I'm going to wait until I get my angle eye and do it all at once.

the difficulty level of installing the side-markers is like a 1/2 from a scale from 1-10, :p . you should just put them on now so we can see.
 
just order the wrong pair intentionally, you'll have better results from them, lol
 
I'm having one hell of a time downloading the pictures I took with my camera! I'm download all the PowerToys for windows XP and Pro Photo tools and nothing wants to attach to my posts! I'm pretty pissed off cause I want to post them on ths damn thread!!!
 
Finally got the photo's to work! So here they are, I order the sport model option for the clear side markers. They look just like the picture on the ebay site for the clear side markers.

I'll keep everybody posted on that. I just eyeball'd them and they looked like they'll fit. I hadn't planned on putting them on until after I install the angel eyes on but if I'm not to busy this weekend I'll put them on to see.

literally will take you 2 mintues
 
Im thinking about getting both a set of those and a set of the clear turns and seeing what they will look like if I paint the housing on the bumper lens black along with the clear turn signal reflectors with the black housing I have now.
 
You carefully pry out the old ones and put the new ones in.

Its very simple.
 
Just Straight out take them off? is there a special place you can put pressure and they will pop out? i dont wanna brake anything lol
 
On the sidemarkers, you'll notice an end with a metal clip. You need to pry on that side (closest to the fron of the vehicle) to pull that front side out. The whole assembly comes out after you release that clip.
 
I did it carefully with a flat blade screwdriver. stick it in the front, and pry outwards.
