Okay guys got a good one for ya. Yesterday when I stopped at a stop light my ebrake light went on. So I lifted my ebrake handle and then put it back down and the light went away. it has happened about three times since then. When I go to a complete stop and put my ebrake on, and then try to go forward I am able to without resistance.

Sounds like my ebrake is not working, but cant figure out why I have the light turn on. Any ideas?

Do be aware that the light also means low brake fluid level. If you have a message center, you get a specific message for parking brake on or low brake fluid. In either case, the light comes on.

dont have message center. Thanks for the info though, maybe its that

just checked yup low fluid

easy to fix :)

thanks for your input, I appreciate it!

My brake light is on aswell, however i think its because i use my ebrake constantly when i park. I do this b/c i dont like to leave alot of stress on the tranny especially in the driveway, when u put it in park it will roll back and click into its parking spot. However, my ebrake handle is kinda cockeyed and if i really push down on the ebrake handle the light will flicker. Anyone know why the ebrake handle does this or how i can go about re setting the ebrake lever to be back up to par???

fixed!!!! pulled apart the leather housing and sure enough the little spring sensor that controlls the light on the dash wasnt lined up so the lever was missing it keeping the light on. a little re-adjustment and bye bye light!

pretty low, like way low

honestly have never checked it before so not sure if it can lower some how

but I will check, thanks for the info

if its way low, you may have a leak, it may be small right now, pump the brakes a few times and check around the calipers for leaks, like stick your hand up into where the pistons are,
