Ok guys here is my one dumb question for the week....I hear everyone talking about doing the "J Mod" to their car....what is the "J-Mod"????

the first three articles describe the Jmod and it's purpose, it's a good read.

Think of it like a factory designed shift kit. It is also a must if you like any kind of performance out of your car. It basically involves re-drilling a few holes in the separator plate, and removing a couple accumulator springs. After doing it, if you wind out first gear, the car will get sideways shifting into second.

Definitely want to be careful but when done right can extend the life of your transmission greatly.

I'd be interested in buying an extra valve body to do this on. Also, having somebody good do it for me and i'll swap the valve bodies then. That way I can always go back to stock.

Topher you should have just called Darren, he makes Lonnie's VB's and he answers his phone almost always unlike Lonnie.

Lonnie is WORTHLESS when it comes to emails mainly due to the huge amount of them he gets.
