i cant adjust my climate controls they are both stuck on max heat i replaced a blown fuse from under the hood fuse 10 its red the first fuse only the driver side climate started to work i was able to adjust it the passenger side still stuck on max heat but after driving for a while it stopped working both on max heat again i cheked the fuse and it was blown again  what could be causing this?

Search for other threads relating to this. Sounds like Dual Climate Control Valve. Thats what I needed to replace, and it blew the fuse when it went. Search DCCV

Really? On the 1st Gen, it just doesn't let you control heat when it goes.. Like you can move the therm up and down but the heat stays at 90*..

If I read it right, the unit itself won't go up or down..

It's the DCCV. The passenger side solenoid is shorted internally. The DCCV will have to be replaced (cleaning it won't fix this).

it was the DCCV i replaced it myself climate controls are working fine now i thought it was gonna be a "total pita" but it was easy took me about 20 mins

PS no need to take off the top rad hose just waste of time and coolant

Well, if it comes up from time to time, instead of staying on all the time, it is being reset from time to time. Normally, it will self reset after you apply and release it a time or two and turn the key off and then back on.

The service parking brake light can be triggered by a weak battery or by a short in the climate control such as from a bad DCCV.
