I gotta say. Car is pretty fast and handles great. Looks great too. But I just couldn't get used to the seating position. Just not comfortable at all. I guess I got used to my Mark 8. Hope 750i is a lot better, plan on getting one sooner or later.
To this day, every time I drive my car I think to myself, why did they discontinue such a great car, and why didnt they make mark 9.( i know that acura, lexus and BMW gave stiff competition but still.) Still puts a smile on my face almost every time.
 
lol, if you think Marks are even vaugely a pain to work on, you will NOT want to work on a 750! ;) The 335s are pretty fun, eh?!

Oh I know. the only way I am getting anything German is with a warranty on everything. Learned my lesson with my last S500.
 
I drove a 335i while my Lincoln was in the shop a few years back. That thing drove better in the snow and ice than any truck I've ever been in.
 
I thought the BMWs were similar to the Mark VIII in the sense that most of the problems aren't that difficult to repair, but parts tend to be expensive, and the "specialized" shops that do the work feel at liberty to charge a German premium based upon their customer base.
 
6 cyl BMWs last longer. But later ones have 6-speed autos, computers for everything . 335 535's have twin turbo 6 cyl. I dont even want to look at one past 70k miles.
3 looks nice, but just not comfortable to drive. Lot of fun thou, for a limited time.
I always like 7's anyway.
By the way, stay away from anything 45. Like 745 545 or 645. Motors had problems, leaky coolant tube in between the heads 3-5k dollar job. later 5.0 motors are better.
 
Hehe, I know a guy who spun those tiny 335i turbos a lil too fast on a leased car and ended up paying 18k for a new motor and turbos. Good times.

One of the guys at work is learning that the hard way with his used Audi wagon. He is $4k into the air suspension already asnd hasn't touched the rear end! They saw him coming I keep telling him, lol... ;)
 
Foreign cars are expensive from the start then fixing them and the cost of parts is insane. I would never buy a bmw,mercedes,audi or any of those types of car without a damn warranty! At least our cars are cheap and the parts aren't too bad in price.
 
Fortunately for me my High School friend is now the main guy for BMW parts :confused: So I know I could get deals but I never really wanted a BMW. Had one V12 BMW at my Dealership for $1500 that I could have paid $750 for but it started spewing oil from someplace that we couldn't find so I breathed a sigh of relief it did so before I bought it :rolleyes:

Benz parts I had catalogs from a place that dismantled them and sold parts with a limited warranty even :eek:

However I had 2 that pissed me off so I sold em and walked away from Mercedes. My brother just got one with 260k and it isn't starting now that it's cold out :p

Coulda told him so!
