Drive Belt Help

I was filling/bleeding my coolant. While filling it at the bottle it stated coming out at the fill cap all over the belt. I poured a bunch of water on it to rinse it off.

Currently I'm letting it dry. Will this be an issue? It does say not to contaminate the drive belt with coolant. I have not tried starting my LS until it's dry.

You may develop some slip / squeal initially, but if it's washed off well it should be fine. I've done the same.

My belt was covered in coolant last night, don't worry you'll be fine !

I just rinsed it off a little (without getting the engine wet) and bara bing bara boom

So now maybe you'll only get 125K miles out of it instead of the 150K it's rated for...

Dried and started. I now have heat and AC for the first time since buying the LS.

Feels Good!

Just check it a little extra at the next oil change, make sure it hasn't dried out and cracked.
