Drilling rims???

Okay... My friend has a nice set of rims that he was going to trade me for.

The thing is that they are a mustang bolt pattern...

Has anybody got experience in redrilling bolt patterns on rims? Is that even possible?

Drilling the rim ain't gonna do you any good. You have to drill the wheel, not the rim, which is the LIP of the wheel.

And why in hell would you want to redrill the wheels to the mustang bolt pattern? Just get a mustang hub swap and call it good. Do it right the rirst time and not worry about it no mo'.

Is the backspacing on your buddy's wheels going to be good for the Mark?

Yes you can have them drilled, I'm not sure how much it would cost though. I think I would just rather find some wheels that would fit.

you can do it but I wouldn't have it done unless it has a cover that goes over the holes. If they redrill and just offset the originals or redrill all together so you have extra holes its going to look stupid

I NKOW!!!! thats why I asked the question in the first place... I just want to get the rims from my friend for like nothing and drill them to the Mark 5*108 pattern and spend the rim money on BIG BRAKES!!! That was the purpose to the entire post

So I guess I would just have to call a machine shop

Stack....It would depend alot on the center section of the wheel and how the bolt pattern was casted.

Most places don't want anything to do with inserts and re-drilling but some places will do it. I don't recomend it but its your project man. Maybe just do the a big brake setup with stang hubs and use the wheels as they are meant to be used. Otherwise I think you are kinda working hard for a result that you may not be happy with long term.
