had a couple egr codes come up changed the egr valve and no success. talked to the guy at autozone and said common problem on fords is the DPFE.. anyone know where the egr pressure sensor (DPFE) is located? any pics? ls 01' v6

It's on the back of the engine attached to the wiring harness shield/shell on the V8.....V6 may be the same. Two lines and one plug, and 2 8mm bolts I believe hold it on. Easy to get to and looks like this.

Pic1. Remove the cowl vent screen.

Pic2. Remove the seven bolts and position the cross vehicle support out of the way.

Pic3. Remove the nut and the throttle cable bracket.

Pic4. Remove the differential pressure feedback EGR.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the hoses.
Remove the bolts and the differential pressure feedback EGR.
