2001 V6, but relates to all models. On the doors there is a long plastic strip with chrome and rubber that slides into the gap along the window above the door handle. I think it's called the door decking or window deck. Mine are getting all pitted from the hot sun in Atlanta but I can't find out what to search for. Anyone know what these strips are called? Thanks!

The service manual calls it the "watershield." Of course, that probably isn't what it's called as a replacement part.

i bumped an old thread on this, but... are they easy to remove. it sounded like it was a few strews and clips...

I've done it before, but I just don't remember at all. The manual just says to remove it.

removal

actually,,,,,mine just pull up and off, nothing holding them down but gravity. There may have been clips underneath (inside the door) but they are gone. Its just a molded plastic strip with some chrome and rubber on top, just pushes down into place, I was surprised how easy it was to remove. Kinda like a friction fitting. I did a search on watershield for the LS, yep, it says just pull it out, no screws or tabs.
