I searched the topics, but didn't see anything specific to my question. Does changing out the stock radio for an aftermarket double-din DVD have anything to do with the CC not working? I never tried it before the change so I'm not sure if it worked or not. I don't have the airbag light on or anything else wrong so just trying to figure out what it is?

I've read about the clockspring thing & but wanted to go doen this road first. If it is the clockspring is that covered under my warranty?

Thanks!

Since you've actually done some research... The clock spring would be covered under the basic 4 year 50K mile (whichever comes first) basic warranty. If you have an aftermarket or FORD extended warranty, it depends on which warranty package you have.

If your cruse control is not working and your horn is not working, The problem may be your clock spring. I don't know for sure but I think your air bag light should come on at startup. If not... CLOCK SPRING

May be a loose connector on the back of it. It's easy to check.

Oh! If it's under warrenty then don't touch anything. Just take it in.

I have the premium warranty which was the best one available when I bought the car at my Lincoln dealership.

Just call your dealership and tell them what's not working. DO NOT tell them stuff stopped working just after you installed a new head unit, else they may try to blame it on that.

Most dealerships count on people not being aware of the Magnuson-Moss act.
