Differences between the Gen I and II bags?

Yes. But they are all interchangeable.

The Gen II fronts are lighter (polymer instead of metal), more responsive and less prone (if at all) to binding up when they age.

Oh, and they are usually A LOT cheaper when comparing new OEM.

But the rears are the same? Good to know... I've been out of the loop... ARe we still getting all the oem parts we want from 5 star Max?

Ya, rears are fine. In fact Arnott rears are ok too, its Arnott fronts that suck. New OEM fronts will set you back a pretty penny though, even if Max gives ya a discount.

Hmmmm... Okay... I am just looking for a set that I can tap and drill for my bigger vents and dumps for my air ride I am installing. I would prefer that I had all that work done before I put them in.

If you are doing a custom air ride setup I'd ditch those factory bags.... talk to Mafioso about that stuff, he has quite the fast bag setup, rides really really nice.

Are you going to vent right at the bags? I was thinking that would be something to do - avoids all that line travel with the air.

Basically it would be like relocating the vent valve. The bag solenoid would still stay in place so if the vent valve for that bags opens, no air lose unless the system was indeed venting that bag.

I was planning to vent at the bags... Much less line!

I guess I will have to talk to Mafioso... I didn't know we could use an aftermarket bag! I thought we has to drill and tap the factory bags!

Thanks for the info

Mafioso's set up is pretty sweet and uses a bag like the rear on the front.... and they are CHEAP to replace, like $80 a bag!

many of us have been looking at hanging the vent onto the side of the bag. i got an idea of how i wanna do it, twin comps, small tank (maybe), big dumps, and all still ran by the factory air ride sys. just need the parts

I need to find out where to get those bags... it will save the time to drill and tap the stock stuff :)
