Diff question

I have searched, but when looking for anything gear/diff related I get a ton of threads, but not exactly what I am looking for. Just need to know if the pumpkin out of a 94 GT will swap into the Mark. I can get the whole diff for cheap, already geared and everything.

its not IRS, so the trac lock and gaers would have to be put in your housing, and "re set up".

yes the diff and gears should work, but i'm not a big fan of removing and reinstalling used gears....its just asking for issues/vibes/noise

especially considering how non tolerant the mark 8 is to NVH

saving money is ok, but i wouldn't try to save a buck on a rear end install..too many places top get bit in the azz

Damn, should have known being able to do the swap for $100 would be too perfect. Would have saved over $400. Which would be good, since I just bought an AR15 on the spot. :lol:

i would take the trac lok our, buy the rebuild kit for $70 new set of gears $150, and install that trac lok unit in the mark viii housing

Good idea....too bad I already bought a trac lok that will be here tomorrow, and a new set of gears I was going to grab later this week. :lol:
