Going to work this morning, windows were a lil frosted over so I turn the heat to 90 and then persisted to turn on the defrost in the front. Went about 2 to 3 blocks like this and then a loud rattle started on the passenger side. So I turn the defrost off and see if it was in the dash or under the car. The rattle stoped so its in the dash somewhere...I havent had time to take the dash apart...mite do it this weekend..any one have the same experience...and how to take apart the dash?! Thanks Peps!

Does the rattle vary with blower speed? If so, maybe something has made its way into your blower. Pull the cabin filter out and see if you can see anything down there that shouldn't be there.

This happened to my dad's pilot and it turned out to be a mouse that died and its tail was caught in the fan, causing the crazy rattling like you are describing

ill have to double check that tonite...i was thinking it could be one of those plastic screw caps too that fell into that area.?? but I will tear it apart tomorrow and see what treasures i find!! :D
