Im ready to put my heads back on, not finding local stock
for the Felpro complete head set (HS9790PT3). Piecing
it together thru various stores is adding up quickly.

Does Ford have a complete head set for the 95-98 or do
they break it up by parts? (Sunday as I write)

Like to get it running in the next 2 days and shipping from
e-bay or online looks like days.....

You want to get the full cylinder head changing kit from Ford... the bolts are torque to yield...

Thanks thats a great price on those parts even if it doesnt
have the intake and front cover gaskets. Im gonna call
them 1st thing monday on shipping times.

Well some stuff to keep in mind if you plan on doing
headgaskets on your 4.6 DOHC:

12hrs to strip the heads, basic handtools and compressor.
(correct OTC cam tool kit a lifesaver)

Felpro "complete" head set (this is everything from front
cover gaskets,intake,exhaust,valve cover ect) $200
The dealer valve grind kit is $300 and short $200 in gaskets needed.

2 boxs of Felpro permatorque head bolts @ $43 each $90.

Mild deck pass on 2 heads $100, your time to pull cams for the operation (2 more hrs).

Factory exhaust studs are high quality, now is the time to
put new dealer studs in. $1.99 each= $32

Reassembly will take longer than the 12hr teardown..

Gonna need to change your oil/filter when done, $20.Will have it together this week, little lighter in the wallet to the toon of $450,parts alone!
