I just replaced my DCCV because I had cold air on drivers vent and not as cold on pass side. Still have the same thing, I ran the self test on it and it showed no problems. Could this be the temp sensor in the plenum? If so how do you get to it? this is on a 2002 V8.

Some folks have reported weird restrictions in the pipes - looks like a shade tree way of dealing with a failed DCCV. They fail open, so you always have heat, so some folks shove wood, metal, whatever in the tubes to stop the coolant.

With the heat on 90deg and the engine warm, check the hoses. All three should be hot at the DCCV and at the firewall. If not, there's a restriction somewhere.

temp difference

there will always be a temp difference of a few degrees between each side. if there is a wide difference like one is hot and one is cold then the DCCV is the main culprit. please supply some more information. Most times its something simple like air in the coolant system. There is plenty of information on this, do a search.
