Cylinders head temperature sensor

I found one of the wires broken on this sensor while changing the plugs. I have the new one, but need to know if it needs sealant. The original one has no signs of it.
 
Okay, having trouble editing this. Below is for the V8, the V6 may be different.

Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
  2. Remove the intake manifold. For additional information, refer to Section 303-01 .
  3. Disconnect the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.
  4. NOTE: The tip of the CHT contacts the cylinder head at the bottom of the hole. When removed, it will be slightly crushed. This is a normal condition.
    Remove and discard the CHT.
    • To install, tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • The CHT is not to be reused. Always install a new sensor.
