I've been working on my trunk for a while now since I only have two days off a week and finally finished it today. It was a long process but I'm finally done with it...at least for now. I have two 12" Treo SSi subs with a 1500.1 PPI amp. The amp in located under the false floor. Didn't feel like showing it but maybe I'll change it when I try hooking up my two Memphis 1000's (one to each sub). I built the box with two separate chambers for each sub and have it firing into the hole in my back deck. Put three blue neons, one in each chamber and plexiglass in the front to show it off. Oh yeah.....I also put two Directed 7" monitors on the beauty board to spice it up a little. Here are some quick pics. Let me know what you guys think.

i really like how the subs look.. u can see the top and the magnet.. thats hot.. the TV's look OK.. nothing spectacular, but it does add a spice.. check out my manual on the suicide trunk.. might look hot.. also have u thought maybe about changing the rug? it would look SICK in a black suede.. or something to that effect.. i think u got suede inside if its the same guy i'm thinkin of.. if so.. match up the suede..

I was thinking about doing something other than the carpet but I decided to go with the factory look. I thought about doing it with the same suede I used on my headliner but it would be impossible to put anything in my trunk. It would be way to hard to keep that clean and this is my everyday driver

lookg great man .. different setup. i like it.

one question. when u add the second amp. are you planning on upgrading the battery, alternator, add capacitor or something? just wondering because i have 2 800w 2 channel kenwood amps runnin each sub and it killed my battery. so just wondering if you plan to take any precautionary measures.

super clean! great job man!

i don't live to far from santa cruz. can you put that in my truck? :D

Right now I have two amps, a 4 channel and a mono. If I change out my mono, I would end up having three amps. I'm running the stock battery along with a stinger dry cell battery. So far so good.

sounds good. how much did that run you. i am thinking of goin optima yellow top. about 150 average.

there was someone who posted here below on how to get a yellow top for like 60 dollars or something along those lines.. i have a yellow top and a 1 farad digital cap.. no problems.. but remember. he is running two batterys.. the battery for the car.. and a dry cell for the system.. that is better in my belief..

so whats next NV... doors? bags? etc.. i'm still working on my current project..

if u want doors i have some hinges for sale.. let me know if ur interested

it depends on ur systemm if its something small, then u may not need to change the battery, if its something more than that jus get a seperate dry cell battery.. if u think ur gonna drain ur car cause u have SO much stuff, HIDs, tv's etc.. then maybe u should get a yellow top.. go to a shop and ask a friend for his best recommendation.. if not ur gonna get ripped off.. yellow top is the easiest way to go.. but the dry cell might be good too u know..

I thought HID's were suppose to use less power? Like taking a 35w bulb and making it perform like a 55w bulb. Don't mean to hijack but thats what I've read before. It was a selling point for KC lights. To allow off-roaders to use daylighter like quality lights but not drain their charging systems. I like the trunk setup.

from what i heard its supposed to use more power.. but i could be wrong.. most ppl say if u leave ur HIDs on too long wit the car off it will drain faster than with regular bulbs.. i know someone will enter and clear this up

HIDs use less power no doubt about it. Also another option to upgrading the battery or to supplement an upgraded battery is a Batcap. You hook them up just like a capacitor. It is a small battery that can discharge like a capacitor. I have one with my setup and a factory battery and my lights never dim. The one I have is equivilent to having a 300 farad cap.

I use to have a batcap. If I'm thinking right, you probably have the little white one, which I have used before. They do work well, but with how much power that I'm drawing, I needed to add another battery to my system that was specifically for the system itself. I don't get any problems with lights dimming or anything.

Ya know, there was a day when people would have really gotten use out of the TV's in the trunk.... just before they were "swimmin' with the fishes".

Looks cool, but seems like a lot of $$$ to spend where nobody ever gets to see it.. except when your showin' off your jazzy trunk.

Don't get me wrong, your system/install looks great... just the TV in the trunk thing threw me off.

Many people have asked my why I put TV's in the trunk. I just did it mainly for shows and to add a little more to the trunk
