I noticed today, that I have a cracked (missing piece) on my crankcase ventilation tube connector (where the tube connects to the valve cover on my Right side valve cover. The missing piece is on the valve cover itself, where the tube locks into the cover. Is there a way to replace the connector, or a way to fix it? The tube still locks in the cover, I just want to make sure there is no issues with it being that way. Thanks

I had this same exact issue. My car was in the dealer for the warranty covered valve cover gaskets so I got kinda lucky since the valve cover already had to come off anyway. I bought the valve cover from Tasca but you may be able to fid em on ebay - I saw one a while ago but it was the wrong side.

You can try to glue it back. Otherwise, time for a new connector. It is pretty important to have that working right.

Mine is cracked a little too. I think it causes my car to drop RPMs a bit when I come to a stop. It may be something else idk. It didn't drop RPMs before it cracked tho. Yet another thing on my never ending list

I may have to check this out too. I have a RPM drop on a normal day but on hot days the RPMs stay at about 2000rpm when I come to a stop. I've chasing this for a few years......

Getting a new valve cover would be your best option. The connector isn't supposed to be replaceable

Is this the Crankcase ventilation connector you are talking about above? I just noticed I had some oil sludge on it. Since the connector is not replaceable unless I get a new valve cover, do you think it is most likely leaking at the grommet? What do you think I should do to fix this. 2000 Lincoln LS V8, 152,000 miles. Passenger Side View Valve Cover

Plastic Repair

J B WELD can fix that. Works real good on plastic! Quick fix for small cracks on plastic connectors is liquid electrical tape. I have a plastic gas can spout that was cracked & painted it with this tape 4 yrs ago, still sealed! Large cracks can be repaired with JB WELD sanded to conform/fit and then painted with electrical tape to ensure long time seal. Fixed plastic radiator manifold like that 2 yrs ago, still good! J B Weld repair alone can be painted also.

Thanks for the info. Are you saying to apply the JB Weld or liquid electrical tape right to the orange grommet area. Would the J-B HighHeat Temperature Resistant Epoxy Putty be the best choice for this.

Orange grommet area: liquid electrical tape. Connector J B Weld. The valve cover isn't cracked, just the elbow connector?
