New member to the site here, long time reader and the posts on here have really helped me out a lot, so for that I would like to thank you.

Now, I apologize for not having the actual part name for what my issue is, but I promise that I have looked on the ford parts website and I cannot find it at all. It is the row of 4 buttons (Fuel, Reset, Status, settings I believe) that sit just above the radio and below the two vents in the front of the car (hopefully you know what I am talking about). I have a 2004 V8. A while back, I hit the fuel button to switch between my mileage and how many miles to empty on the dash and the buttons fell inside. I popped it open to see what the issue was and if its fixable and what I found was that the plastic housing for the screw that holds the buttons in place was broken, like completely snapped to hell. The way that it appears to be set up is that I am basically going to have to buy a whole new panel including the vents as it is all just one piece. Now my question is 1) does anyone know what this part is called and how much it goes for? and 2) does anyone have any ideas on how I can rig this up for at least a temporary fix. Glue on the screw housing is kind of out of the question as I dont have all of the pieces any more and it has been glued once before by the previous owner it appears. Thanks everyone in advance.

Search the site for "message center buttons" using google and you'll see where people replace them with junkyard parts, or epoxy them back together. Sounds like you are going to have to go with the first option.

As a new part, it was about $70 the last time I had to replace one.

Search Ebay (used Lincoln LS Parts) or when you find an ebay ad with used LS parts
(Ebay Seller is an auto/salvage yard) contact the seller and ask if they have the part you need.
