Hey guys I've been reading posts for quite some time now and have decided to order parts to revive my 02 V8. I want to start off by saying I ALREADY KNOW that i'm ordering the oem/motorcraft degas bottle and aluminum thermostat housing. :wrench

What I would like to know is your guys opinions on replacement radiators, DCCV's. The reason I ask is because there are many on partsgeek and I want to know if anyone has any experience with any particular parts.

Also, I've read the thread about the Aux pump fix but I couldn't find any in depth information about the actual fixing of the brushes. I'm looking for a how-to, since the car has been down for about 5 months now and I got nothing but time so I would like to save on parts money wherever I reasonably can. Thanks

I haven't had to replace the DCCV (knocks on wood) but from what I've read motorcraft is your best bet. The radiator you can go with aftermarket. I got the one from autozone and it's spec'ed better than OEM, and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Don't have any info on the aux pump for you, sorry.

I used the metrix DCCV and it's working fine, how long it will last I don't know but I have two of them so if one goes I'll replace it with the other, or swap parts. Both are brand new
