The wife was driving the car and said there was noise coming from the engine compartment. When I went to start it, it sounded like there was nothing but metal rubbing together and it just died. Wouldn't turn over wouldn't do anything. So when I was removing the old motor I could not get the motor to turn so that I could remove the torque converter bolts. It took an 18" pipe wrench on the crank and a 4 foot cheater pole to turn it.When I finally got the motor out I removed the oil pan there was a spot on the crankshaft that was bone dry. So it looks like the journals were plugged. Although it was a good experience remove the motor, I don't think I would do it myself again. Thanks for the info.
