So it was 119 degrees today and my '00 LS overheated on my way home from work. I bled the system and the female threaded part inside the bleed hose is spinning when I tighten the bleed screw. It is now leaking coolant from the bleed screw. I dont know what the bleed hose is called or the part number. Its not listed on rockauto.com or parts.com and I cant find it online anywhere. It would probly help if I knew the proper name of the hose or even the part number.....can anyone help?

That hose comes with the degas bottle if you order it from Ford (Max). Your degas bottle is almost certainly cracked anyway. That may be why it overheated in the first place. I think the most common description is "heater bleed."

The degas bottle is only about 6 months old. I got it on amazon.com and it didnt come with the hoses, thats probly why it was only about $50. I wouldnt think it was cracked already but you never know. I have a brand new degas bottle sitting on my bench (I accidently ordered two when I bought my '02 LSE) so I will change it out when I get the new bleed hose.

No, at six months your degas bottle should still be okay.
