So there are lots of Control arm bushing threads here. Some are very old. Seems like everyone was a different solutions, and/or outdated. I searched, seems we don't have a handle on which Bushings from where that work and are of quality.

I need Rear Upper and Lowers CA bushings for my 02 V8 Sport. So where do you get some that fit with out modifications? And which ones are quality bushings that you can have a shop that has the correct equipment press the old out and the new in?

And are the bushings not the same to replace for 2000 - 2006 regardless of V8 or V6, Sport Model or Non Sport?

We really need a updated thread of just suspension bushings that fit of quality and work well to save money on buying a whole new control arm. Why don't we create a "Go To" Sticky Thread of CURRENT Bushings that work to save time and money?

Great idea!!!! I'm looking for the CA bushings for my 2002 LS gen 1 v8.

Needs to be a Thread with current up to date links to Bushings and Ball Joint. Upper/Lower, Front/Rear, Links, and Sway Bar Bushings.

Anyone?

No one is working that much on the cars nor doing that kind of research any longer. Feel free to get the work done and post your results!

No one is doing Suspension fix's anymore? No way that's true. You either have done it, or need to do if, if you don't have a low mileage LS.

Since no one was really making the bushings a couple years ago I doubt anyone has started making them now. There's less and less cars on the road with every year. Your best bet is going to see if any of the Jaguar bushings from an S-Type, XF, or whatever else shared the DEW98 platform will work. Or just see if the Jaguar parts will work altogether since the DEW98 lives on over there.

He means that most who are, are replacing the control arms, not just the bushings. This is happening less and less as there are fewer and fewer LSes (there never were many) on the road, and there probably will be hardly any that need it twice before they are retired. If the solutions you seek are not already there, they almost certainly won't be developed now.

Everything there will work in the LS control arms. I am running the full set. The front sway bar bushings might fit a gen1, but not gen2. Rear sway bushings do not work on the LS. These are Poly, so they are stiffer, and not for everyone.

There are a variety of cheap rear bushings on ebay from DP, (not good reviews though)

For a while, I think it was racing green was offering pivot-style replacements for the rear-lowers. But I cannot find the link now. I will keep looking.

Keep in mind that for both F&R uppers, even though you can swap the bushings on the chassis side of the arms, the integrated ball joints you cannot. If boots are torn or have play, they are are not serviceable. I have searched high and low and even had my machine shop open up a front arm to look into if the seat and ball stud could be sourced from lemforder. There might be someone with special tooling who can reman these, but for the comparative cost of a new arm (which also comes with new bushings) it probably is not worth it. You can however, swap boots and re-grease as part of a regular maint. schedule to try and defer their eventual breakdown. Various rubber boots and clamps are available.

I had ESP care on my LS when I first got it, and was able to get front uppers, and one rear lower from my Lincoln dealer (within the last year) Both were sourced from the local jag dealership. This could indicate that the XF parts are compatible, or they still have inventory of S-Type stuff to go through.
