Will a SHO motor fit and work in a 1988-1994 Continental?
Has anyone attempted this? Sounds like a great idea being that the 3.8L they came with are junk.

I wouldn't put a SHO motor into such a big car....if I were going to put a SHO motor into anything besides a SHO it would be a tempo/topaz

while I don't know the hp/tq specs of the sho.. the big heavy car needs torque more than hp to move it.

my 91 accel'ed good (for its size/weight), and still managed to average 25.6 mpg when driven easily.. the 88-94 conti's are not hot rods.. for that, get a mark or LS

It has been done and I would do it. The Continental isn't that heavy, but it is heavier than the Taurus on which it was based. The other option is to install a Windstar 4.2L engine.
