No, not him... my roommates car :)

Anyone know if Walbro pumps work in these things? If so which one? I am very certain is a return system. Its a 96 or 97 Conti.

I had a gas pressure gauge, but its shot. So we pressed the schroeder valve pin. Some gas came out, not much and not a spray. He cycled the key, same. Looks like the pump is running, but you cant hear it. Before you could hear it pretty well at startup.

Checked fuses, etc. Pretty sure its the pump or some sorta line freeze.

By the time I get home I am guessing it will have already been towed and he might have a new pump in it.

But if not, I was going to help him replace it.

give it a shot of carb cleaner in the intake tube and see if it runs for a min or so, also dont forget to check the inertia switch. dunno about fitting a walbro

Ya, inertia switch was the first thing we checked.

On a side note, would be a fun prank to pull on any Mark or Conti parked in a lot somewhere :) Does not take much of a hit to trip that switch.

Well its starts, but requires some work. Pump is fine. They say its a faulty anti-theft system.

Waiting for shop manuals to arrive so it can be disabled.

This happened to my friends 96 Conti about every 6 months...
