I made my own fitment for my new cone filter, which I should go grab a picture of come to think of it....

Anyways, I was thinking of making a few kits to ship out for people. Mounting hardware and filter included. I'll have to do some math but figure maybe $50 for mounting brackets, hardware, filter, and shipping.

How many people would maybe want one? I'm not into it for the money, which is why I set price at $50 so far, shipping will probably be almost $10, filter is $25, brackets require some custom manufacturing with the dremel haha.

If I get like 5 people or so, I can get these made up in probably a day using my experience, I know how to make them now :D

This would just be a filter mount, no intake tube. This will bolt right onto the stock intake box flange for easiest install. Just unbolt your stock intake box (top only) and bolt this on. Instant 5 HP at least.

most likely a Spectre cone filter, Pektel and I both use it and works just great :D I of course will you any filter you choose or I can just get the mounting hardware if you want to get the filter yourself

Tyler's right, it does take a little modifying to make it work. The MAF adapter plate needs to be drilled for the proper holes for the bolts to mate up to your LS's MAF. And then you need to visit the hardware store to get the bolts/washers/nuts to attach the adapter plate to the stock MAF. And I also added some foam tape between the adapter plate and MAF housing to get a good seal.

But for 50 bucks, you're cutting your own throat Tyler. You probably have like 45 bucks in parts. Then gas to go get those parts, boxes and packing materials, gas to go to the post ofice to ship...

I know how to make the kit, I just want other people to be able to get a cone kit for easy install and some easy mods. I didnt set $50 as the def price though, I have to do some research.

If I use my ghetto way of it...

Spectre Filter: $25
Intake Mount: $4
Plexi Glass: $1
Hardware: $2.50

I think that is all I had, I should throw in some type of sealer besides the plexi too...

That's how my ghetto rigged intake was made, but Im trying to figure out a better way of doing it. $35 in parts, 20 Mins in labor per part, and $15 for shipping sounds about right... I got a few boxes laying around so I save money there :D

Oreilly's has a Spectre MAF adapter plate. It bolts on to the stock MAF housing, and the filter mounts directly to it.

Yeah, for a regular shaped MAF flange. Ours is all weird shaped... It's rectangular, and rounded on one side... I was there trying to find the best sollution and came up with mine, I was also only working with $30 too

Ah, I have the adapter plate. I just drilled new holes in it so it would mate up to the MAF housing. I'll see if I can get a pic...

I had my LS for a day and went to the local NAPA in my town and ordered a K & N drop in, then just modified the air box for pretty much the same effect.
