Condensation under COP covers...

I cleaned my engine off and before there wasnt a problem... now it seems like there's just enough water to make it misfire... sux... I was wondering if you guys had any nifty ways of gettin the excess water out of there...

I believe it's just water cause one it's clear... two it beads up on the boots... and last it doesn't have a taste... had to check.

I've also taken an air compressor and blew out the holes but I don't think that does it... because I did it and the code said it missed on cylinder 4 then after I blew it out it went to 3... so I need to get it out really... thanks again you guys are great!

Exactly HOW did you clean you engine?

I would suggest taking the coils/boots off an let them dry. At the same time the covers can stay of. Once you are happy with the boots being dry, put them on and get the engine up to full operating temp with the covers off. This will also heat up the boots again so remove them again to ensure the heat can dry them up.

I agree. In addition, apply di-electric grease to the COP boots and around their seal to the cam covers prevent moisture from getting into the plug wells.
