I backed out of my driveway today in a rush,(didn't let bag fill sequence complete) Bags wasn't at it's lowest. So i slowly backed down driveway a slight ramp before it get to the street side, my front under bumper scrape the ramp and the vehicle dont want to fill up since.. The compressor dont kick in. I try the on/off switch in the back of trunk no diffrence. shut car down close door and start again like like im getting in car for the first time. (lol)still compressor wont start. checked the high current fuse in engine compartment, and the smaller fuse side driver door. they both fine. I do hear a clicking like it wants to go on?

what happend?

ps Car suspension have been emptying but slowy for month's when park overnight. less air somedays, more air other times.

Well... Either you compressor gave up the ghost, especially since it had to work overtime to keep the leaking bags filled up.

That, or you may have popped the compressor relay. Search around LvC, there are lots of threads on how to check that.

The clicking sound could be a dead compressor, or a dead relay.

Well if the bags are clicking, then the relay if fine and compressor is shot. But if the system errors out right away, its another problem.

The air ride message went on when it happend, and goes off and on when button in trunk is turned off or on. today i went ford lincoln dealer and the problem they found is the relay and compressor died, but both at one time? Too repair it will cost me $900 and something dollars. I took the car home and called this guy i know in the lincoln parts deparment. he said he will sell me the parts at his cost : Relay $75,80 compressor $380 can i get these parts cheaper or, is it a decent price?

Yes, it's normal for them both to die at the same time.
But the prices are not reasonable.

You can get an excellent compressor there for $155 (and shipping) There's no reason to get this part from Motorcraft.

The relay price sounds o.k. for a Motorcraft part.

And both of these parts are simple enough to install.

got it fixed, saved $300 . The problem was the compressor but changed both anyway. $147 for installation. Parts i bought compressor came with airdryer etc, thank you all anyway for the help.
