Coil Stress test

I finally got my car back yesterday from the dealership. Other than the free coffee and danish at a Lincoln dealer i cant complain about the service i got from a Ford dealership. Free rental during the 11 days it took to fix the car. They replaced the entire throttle body and 4 coils (#1,2,4,5). Car runs great now, very smooooth. I think the bad coils affected the performance, it "feels" much better now. Couple of questions though. When they say they performed a "coil stress test" on all the coils, what does that mean? How is the test measured, pass/fail? Is there a range or something they fall under to require replacing? I have heard alot of bad coils but i never would have thought my '05 would have FOUR bad coils.
 
Does anyone know the threshold or range that if you tested w/ a diagnostic tool, what is considered Good? Ok? Bad?
 
I believe it is an OHm test. They run some current through the coil and it has to be at a certain output level. Not exactly sure, I remember way back when, I tested an MSD coil for a HEI in a chevy and it was something like that. I know I had to find out what the level was supposed to be from MSD. I bet a tech at the dealer could tell you or just ask your service manager. They have to have the info if they tested it.
