Does anyone know the most common result of a bad coil. Or what to look for.

Oil leaking from the valve cover onto the coil. There is a recall for the 2003 LS. See some of the threads.

the most common result of a bad coil would be a misfire. the oil would be a cause... but lets not split hairs
