I remember readin on here before that you can get rid of the air bag suspension and replace it with a coil over suspension. Is this true? And if so could someone point me in the direction of where to get this kit from or a Q & A about doing this conversion. Because its looking like my air ride suspension on my Mark VIII is totally F'd up and with tossing the computer on the car its coming up with a error 12 code which meant something like that the computer for the level ride is totally screwe or something like that. But I'm looking into possibly doing this conversion if it is true and just wondering if this is going to be a pricey thing to do or what. Thanks for your help

thats the problem. I click on the sponsers links and it brings me to this menu on here saying I don't have access to it and yada, yada

I have done 3 of them...I got mine from Struts-r-us....PM me for more details.

You can have the whole kit, stock height, or lowered for $395+ freight...but only if you contact me. I am not a seller, but I can give you the info you need to save big.

I have had my coils for over 30k miles, and they ride like the day I installed them....94 Mark VIII.

Struts r us has them on Ebay for $359,
i dont think you can get it much cheaper.

good luck

I read the article you wrote concerning the struts, I called Tim @ Struts-r-us, they were delivered by UPS yesterday, I'm having them installed next week. He threw the lowering kit in for 0, tell me though, what kind of Shocks did you put in the rear ? Someone told me to get Monroe stratas.

with the drop kit how many inches are between the tire and the fender? does it need to be dropped more(if possible) than the advertised 1 1/2? does anyone have pics?

i have the kit from strutmasters, click my link at bottom,i have the lowered kit and love the stance, i also have wider lower tires, and a new solid sway bar, here are some pics, going over steep curbs is rough and be carful over speed bumps, but way cool, call strutmasters , ask for matt lofton and tell him jeff or sent ya from LVC.....worth it :Beer

I sent you a PM. I have done 3 of these conversions. I have also read about a few problems with strutmasters using a shock insert that is too soft for lowered car, causing bottoming out. Not all, but some have had problems.

I have a tech article on this site...check it out!

BTW, my 94 is lowered, and I run 245/50-16's, with absolutely no rubbing, even at full lock.
