Code reader?

since the CEL like to come on about once every 6 months if that I've been thinking about getting a code reader to save the trips to the parts store. what would be a good one to get? I dont really need a real crazy one just a basic one that will pull the codes and clear them

If you have Harbor Freight tools near you I think they sell one for like $50. that's the cheapest i've seen

I've got one they sell at autozone... actron I believe. There are different versions each with different options. I'm happy with it.
